Why ARchive?
There are a lot of reasons why I archive all of my drawings here.
The first and foremost reason why I archive all of my drawings on this website is because I know that fans of artists are going to miss them and their artwork by A LOT every time they wipe their social media platform off from the internet for whatever reason it may be. When that happens, it's very difficult to find pieces of their artwork for that exact inspiration, let alone high quality versions of them. It's very saddening to see this because they have influenced and inspired their fans so much that the fans would love to share their artworks around the world to prove how talented the artist is and how much they deserve the love and recognition for it, these fans would even become artists themselves all because of the artist they're inspired from. Knowing that I may have inspired someone with my work, I will still share all of my artworks here.
Another reason why I archived my drawings is I consider any artwork as a piece of history of an artist, not only their journey in art, but also their everyday life and their ever changing thoughts and opinions as they grow. Now this sounds cringe, but believe me! It's amazing to see how an artist grows from drawing fan art to finding themselves working professionally for companies throughout these years, I'd even say this timeline of artwork could even be inspirational for those who are just starting out in the art world. To add on to this, it's a way to remember the artist and their life if they have either been gone from social media for a really long time or have passed away.
The last reason why is a double-edged sword; it should be common knowledge that whatever you post on the internet will either stay on there for a long while or even forever. Knowing these two previous reasons I provided, I decided to play by the rules and upload all of my artworks instead of wasting my time scrubbing them off from the internet, even if some of these drawings may be embarrassing to look at or even controversial to the general public.
The conclusion is, if you started to post artwork on the internet, you are guaranteed to have at least one secret admirer who will always look forward to your next piece and will support you on your journey as an artist. No matter how much you hate your own art or even try to wipe it off from existence, there's always going to be people who will archive your work as a way to preserve a piece of history that may inspire others whether you take this the right or wrong way.
So, I will do my best to upload all of my artwork before they become lost media.
